The Dron-me Mission
Dron-me is the Tibetan word for lamp. We Tibetan Nomads have banded together to provide schools and scholarships to our sons and daughters regardless of their academic standing or achievements. We also make loans to local people who have business ideas and need funds to begin. We want to upgrade the health care, train doctors and emergency aid technitions. We aim to provide summer schools, summer camps and what we call the Green Hometown to foster fun learning and asustainable environment. We operate off the interest of our pooled money. Our goal is is have a fully sustainable fund and light a many lamps in towns, villages and prefectures all over Tibet.

Nomads from Jentsa Tang, friends from Beijing and USA contributed money and other necessary supplies such as butter, barley floor (tsampa),cheese, breads, instant noodles, mineral waters, gloves, candles, sanitary towel, milk powder, and stoves to over 600 victims in Yushu.
